If you don’t have time to immerse yourself in the local culture or if you would just rather immerse yourself with something on the silver screen, the Oriental theater is a 5-min drive from the guesthouse and it’s a great place to see a movie. They offer a mix of current box office hits and they sprinkle in some independent films here and there.
The theater itself is a classic from the 1970’s before stadium-style seating became commonplace. It has been beautifully restored and the building details alone are worth the price of admission. It’s a local relic.
